Fire & Extraneous Perils
FIRE INSURANCE
WHAT MAY BE INSURED
All movable and immovable property such as Buildings including electrical installations and lifts, Factories and other manufacturing concerns, Offices, Commercial Centres, Shops, Supermarkets, Warehouses, Schools, Hotels Stadia, Markets; Machinery and Appurtenances thereto, Household Goods and Personal effects; Stock and Utensils in Trade, Motor Vehicles, etc.
COVER Fire Insurance usually covers not only fire damage but damage caused by the perils of lightning and Explosion. Other allied perils for which extension is usually granted by fire insurance are: -
- Windstorm/tempest, tornado, cyclone, earthquake and volcanic eruption.
- Impact by road vehicles, horse or cattle with the building, its boundary walls, gate and fences.
- Damage by aircraft or any aerial devices or any articles dropped therefrom.
- Escape of water from fixed water tanks, apparatus or pipes.
- Riot and strike, flood, malicious damage and bush fire.
